Practice info

On this page, you’ll find detailed info about all the services we provide from our UK pharmacy.

Private prescriptions and pharmacy medicines

You can get treatment recommendations and order prescription medication from our pharmacy privately through Treated. Prescriptions for medicines that require them are issued by GMC-registered doctors or GPhC-registered prescribers based on online consultations.

These consultations are done via a remote questionnaire and messaging service. When your prescription has been approved by a clinician, our pharmacy will dispense your treatment. This will then be shipped to you by our courier partners.

You can also order pharmacy medicines privately through us. These medicines don’t require a prescription, but you’ll still need to do an online consultation (consisting of a questionnaire and, in some cases, private messaging) so that our pharmacist can make sure it’s safe before issuing it to you. Approved medicines are shipped by next-day courier.

NHS services we provide

Dispensing medicines & appliances

Our UK-based pharmacy also fulfils NHS prescriptions for patients who live in England. This eliminates the need for paper prescriptions, and means you don’t have to pick up your regular prescription medication in person.

All you need to do is nominate Treated as your chosen pharmacy either by contacting us, or using the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). We can then send your prescription medicine to you via Royal Mail.

To nominate Treated as your dispensing pharmacy, call us on 0207 043 0716.

You can read more about the Electronic Prescription Service

on the NHS website.

You must be registered with a GP in England to use this service.

Repeat dispensing

If you order repeat NHS prescriptions for your regular medication, we can help you manage these.

Once you’ve placed a reorder through your GP surgery, they’ll send us your prescription, and we’ll dispense your medicine and send it to you by secure next-day courier. The cost for this delivery service is £7.99 per order.

Please note that if you’re taking long-term treatment, you’ll still need to attend regular consultations and review sessions with your GP or specialist as required. Some medicines may require you have periodic testing, and again, you might need to do this in person through your GP surgery.

Some information on electronic prescriptions

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS Service which enables your prescriptions to be sent electronically to the pharmacy or dispenser of your choice. If you get regular prescriptions, EPS may be able to save you time by eliminating unnecessary trips to your GP.

Important information

You do not have to have your prescriptions sent from your doctor to a pharmacy using the EPS. However, if you choose to have paper prescriptions, these may need to be posted by the GP surgery to your chosen pharmacy, or picked up by you and delivered to your chosen pharmacy by hand.

If you decide to use the EPS, you may choose any EPS pharmacy for your convenience. You do not have to choose a pharmacy that is near to your GP surgery.

Electronic prescriptions are sent directly from your doctor’s computer to the pharmacy computer. Paper prescriptions are not required. The service will be secure and confidential.

If you choose to have your prescriptions sent to Treated via EPS, your prescriptions will be sent to us automatically. If you want to change this (for example, if you want to switch to a different pharmacy) you’ll need to tell your doctor.

You can choose to have your prescriptions sent to another pharmacy at any time, including part way through a series of repeat prescriptions collected directly from the pharmacy (repeat dispensing).

Please note that, if you have any prescriptions for appliances, these may be sent from your GP to an appliance contractor, instead of Treated.

You can read further information about EPS on the NHS website.

Disposal of unwanted medicines

If you have any unwanted medicines which you no longer need, it’s important that these are returned to us or to a pharmacy close to you.

How to return unwanted medicine

If you’re a patient who wishes to return unwanted medicine, please call our pharmacy on 0207 043 0716 so we can arrange for a courier to collect them from you.

Please note that we cannot take return of unwanted medicine from you in person at our pharmacy premises.
